So, we found an amazing website where we joined a "Spice of the Month" club. Each month, we receive a packet with several high quality spices from around the world along with recipes for only a few dollars a month. This is the first packet we've received, and it's absolutely amazing! We will be posting pics of the fantastic dishes G has made using the spices very soon! In the meantime, we urge you to check out www.rawspicebar.com

Who doesn't love the Southern classic, Fried Green Tomatoes?! Here's G's recipe for a great dredge for green tomatoes, zucchini, squash....well, you get the idea! Following is Jim's recipe for an amazing dipping sauce, it's a sauce used for French fries, sweet potato fries, fried green tomatoes, etc. You can buy this kind of sauce in Utah, known as "fry sauce", but it just hasn't made its way here. Enjoy! Fried Green Tomatoes 1 cup corn meal 1/3 cup Zatarains Fish Fri 1/2-1 Tbsp cornstarch (depending on how juicy the tomatoes are, use more if juicy) Salt Pepper Dipping Sauce 1/4 cup mayonnaise 2Tbsp ketchup 1/2 tsp lime juice 1/8 tsp garlic powder 1/8 tsp pepper 1/8 tsp onion powder 1/8 tsp salt 1/8 tsp celery salt Mix above well, chill. Enjoy. You'll want to make at least a triple batch, it's amazing. It's a recipe for "fry sauce" for dipping French fries, sweet potato fries, etc that's popular in Utah. That's the only place you can find it. Okay, admittedly we were totally skeptical when we found this recipe. However, once we mixed the ingredients, we both agree these are the absolute best margaritas we have EVER tasted! Here's the recipe:
12 ounces frozen limeade mix 12 ounces tequila (we used Patron, but you can use whatever) 12 ounces beer (we used Bud Light Platinum) 12 ounces water Mix all ingredients, add ice, and enjoy! It's literally that simple! Try it out, let us know what you think........ G made this amazing birthday cake! It's a dark chocolate cake injected with hot fudge throughout, and iced in both chocolate and vanilla buttercream. Our buttercream is made with pure creamery butter, imported vanilla beans, and lots of love! Thanks for stopping by to read our first entry! We decided to start a blog after having so many requests from Facebook friends, and elsewhere to share some of our recipes. G has such an amazing ability for taking a handful of ingredients and transforming them into something fabulous. Since she rarely (never) writes down a recipe, it's been especially difficult to share them with friends, so we decided to start a blog for sharing her amazing ability to create culinary delights. While our original thoughts were to keep the blog related only to food, we began to think there are so many more things we'd love to share; cooking, baking, travel, fun.....you get the idea. We'd love to hear from our readers, so don't be shy, please comment on our entries. We will soon be linking our blog with both Twitter as well as Instagram, so be looking for links in the very near future. Well, that's about it for our first entry, hopefully we will become expert bloggers and have multitudes of followers in the near future!
